The Kairūri Community Trust is delighted to announce Josh Paku as the winner of the KCT Stirling Scholarship for 2024. Josh is in his final year at the University of Otago, School of Surveying and his entry included the winning submission on The Future role of Survey and Spatial Professionals in Climate Change and Disaster Response.
As winner of the scholarship, Josh receives the following:
A $2500 cash award
Attendance at the 2024 Survey and Spatial NZ conference in August including registration, travel, and accommodation costs (www.surveyspatialnzconference.org)
A five-minute presentation of their winning submission at the conference.
Student membership of S+SNZ if not already a member.
The KCT Stirling Scholarship is for a final year student in a tertiary surveying or spatial course and provides a cash award to assist with the completion of studies along with attendance at the S+SNZ Annual Conference in Napier being held from 28 August - 30 August.
