Introducing the Inaugural Kairūri Community Trust General Grants

The Kairūri Community Trust is excited to announce a new milestone: the launch of our first-ever General Grants Programme.

Designed to advance the surveying and spatial sector in Aotearoa New Zealand, these grants support initiatives that deliver clear public or community benefit. This includes projects focused on building professional capability, enabling innovation, improving access and participation, or increasing the understanding of spatial information and its role in our communities.

We encourage a broad range of applications, including projects outside traditional surveying that make use of spatial data or approaches. As this is our first year, we look forward to supporting the initiatives that will help define the future of our profession.

Key Details:

• Amount: Up to NZ$2,000 per project.

• Eligibility: Open to students, early-career professionals, researchers, industry groups, and community organisations.

• Applications Open: March 24, 2026
